Discuss the development of intelligent ultra light aircraft and create a new low altitude economic ecosystem
The forum is jointly organized by Dongguan University of Technology, China Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association (AOPA), and China Railway Signal&Communication Group Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "China Signal&Communication"). More than ten experts from government departments, universities, associations, and enterprises share topics such as industrial landing, technological breakthroughs, scenario applications, industry standards, and development prospects of intelligent ultra light aircraft. The forum also released an initiative to promote the healthy development of the intelligent ultra light aircraft industry, calling for the joint construction of an open, win-win, and sustainable industry ecosystem.
At the meeting, the Low altitude Science and Technology Innovation Center jointly built by Dongguan University of Technology, China AOPA, and China Signal&Communication Corporation was unveiled and established. The center integrates functions such as technology research and development, talent cultivation, and social services, guided by industrial demand, connects the channels of government, industry, academia, and research resources, builds an industrial resource network, and thus creates a highland for aviation professional talent cultivation. The three parties also signed a cooperation agreement on site, forming a joint force among universities, associations, and enterprises to inject momentum into the development of the low altitude economy industry.
In recent years, Dongguan University of Technology has actively integrated into the research and industrialization of aerospace technology in Dongguan, closely focusing on disciplines such as ultra strong composite materials, aircraft structural design and optimization, and continuously deepening industry university research collaborative innovation. It has created multiple national and provincial research platforms and undertaken a number of major scientific research projects, laying a solid foundation for supporting regional aerospace technology development and industrial upgrading.
In 2024, Dongguan University of Technology will lead the establishment of the International Aerospace Technology Research Institute, further focusing on cutting-edge fields such as aviation power, low altitude economy, and space data. It will build domestic leading scientific research facilities such as low altitude economy pilot platforms and aerospace engine vibration testing platforms, and carry out deep cooperation with China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation, Sun Yat sen University, etc. to promote the transformation and upgrading of cutting-edge high-level scientific research achievements. It will take solid steps in promoting the transformation and upgrading of Dongguan's industrial structure, supporting the innovative development of the aerospace technology industry in the Greater Bay Area, and forming a new quality of aerospace productivity.
